wednesday thoughts

A list of things I want to remember and am thinking about on this cold Wednesday evening in January:

  • The insurmountably strong support system that is my friends
  • The sense of catharsis that good writing brings (written or read)
  • Long, therapeutic walks
  • Communicating without words (eyes that speak)
  • Mindfulness
  • Attachment between human beings (it’s admirable)
  • Good food = good mood (there’s a reason it rhymes)
  • Unfiltered honesty
  • Impromptu conversations with strangers
  • http://www.theoatmealartist.com/
  • “For you, a thousand times over.” – The Kite Runner
  • I drink hot tea every single day
  • When you focus on your breathing, you don’t have time to think of anything else
  • People who walk with a purpose
  • People who don’t have the slightest clue where they are going
  • I am a combination of every single moment in my life up until now
  • Closing my eyes and seeing shapes and colors instead of black
  • Walking around without my headphones so I can remain in touch with reality
  • I want to sleep with no pants more often. A warm room with cold sheets and shaved legs is a match made in heaven.
  • Kindness between strangers (ex. somebody flashing their high beams at you to warn you about the cops)
  • The wonderful smell a clementine leaves on your fingers after peeling it
  • “Take a penny, leave a penny” bowls
  • When the phone rings and it’s someone you were just thinking about
  • I make myself wake up early because the look and practice of people sleeping their lives away makes me sad. I forced myself fall in love with the morning.
What is on your mind today? What thoughts have been floating around in your head? Share the little things with me.
