Blogiversary Belgium Waffles

This morning I was scrolling through all of my blog posts and came down to my first post and realized that it was posted on March 1st, 2013. I completely passed up and missed my one-year blogiversary! Darn. ๐Ÿ™

Well it’s never too late to celebrate!

When I first started my blogging journey, I had no idea what I was getting myself into or even how blogging really worked, but I am so happy I picked up this hobby! Not only does blogging bring me joy, but reading other blogs is enjoyable too!

There have been many times when I’ve wanted to throw in the towel and delete this blog because I would get envious of the mass amount of views and comments other bloggers would receive daily. My boyfriend texted me the simple words “don’t give up on your blog!” and I listened. I didn’t start this blog for other people–I started it for myself. What interests me most is having a space of my own to throw words and ideas around. I am learning to stop comparing myself to the bloggity-blogging world of bloggers out there and instead, become a better writer and grow as a person through this blog. I write about topics that I want to and topics that bring interests to me and guess what? I’m having a blast doing it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you to every single person who has ever clicked on a link to my blog, read a post, shared a post, or left a comment. They mean so much more to me than you could ever imagine. ๐Ÿ™‚

I was going to make a bowl of cereal for breakfast this morning, but my mom told me to ditch the boring cereal and make Belgian waffles with mixed berries, powdered sugar, and a drizzle of honey. I’m glad I listened to her! They were scrumdiddlyumptious and quite photogenic! I wish I could have shared them with all of you (and I wish I had stuck a candle in them! Ha!)

Have a beautiful day everyone! Expect to hear from me again soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

Never Give up sweetheart…you never did before, just follow you heart and you'll be fine. I love you so much and I'm so proud of who you become. Keep on writing, keep on singing keep on dancing, keep on baking, keep on playing, keep on dreaming, and no matter how old you are, always take time to go down the slide, put your hands up in the air, smile and enjoy that moment.
