On January 1st, 2014, I set a Goodreads Reading Challenge to read 30 books in 2014. I only ended up reading 13 books (2774 pages), but I am not upset that I didn’t reach my goal because I read 13 books! Awesome! That is more than most people have read in a lifetime, sadly.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Recitatif by Toni Morrison
Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant by Anne Tyler
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
Not yet rated:
The Epic of Gilgamesh by Anonymous
Translations of Beauty by Mia Yun
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
To Build a Fire by Jack London
An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce
The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Gilman
In 2015, I have pledged to read 15 books by 2016. I am setting a lower goal but that doesn’t mean I won’t surpass my goal! I want to be realistic and not set too high of a reading challenge just in case I am unable to reach it again. Life can get pretty busy!
If you’d like to keep up with my reading, I’ve attached a widget on my sidebar underneath my welcome message (right), or you can always visit my Goodreads account here. I also post all my reviews on my account.
