Merry Christmas from my family to yours! I hope this Christmas found you surrounded by those you love and was filled with a lot of fun and cheer.
What’s the true meaning of Christmas? Christmas is all about pure, unconditional, and self-denying love. There’s a different kind of joy that’s found in having compassion for others. Be a little more patient in the grocery store or in traffic. Forgive someone. Call friends you’ve lost touch with. Be appreciative. Keep your promises. Bake something for someone else. Really listen next time someone needs to vent instead of giving your opinion. Apologize if you’re wrong. Start a conversation instead of sitting next to a stranger in silence. Make Christmas one long, extended gift of ourselves to others.
Christmas can be a time of healing and renewed strength. God sent His Son into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world. Shepherds, wise men, and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event. The prophets had told of His coming hundreds of years before.
So, let us look at Christmas in a new way this year. From this day forth, let us put behind our differences and conflicts and embrace true meaning of Christmas: love, faith, peace, and hope.
Christmas brings family and friends together; it helps us appreciate the love in our lives we can often take for granted. May the true meaning of the holiday season fill your heart and home with many blessings. May this incredible time of giving and spending time with family bring you joy that lasts throughout the year.
