Alison + Nick: Vintage Truck Engagement at CVNP

I knew I loved Alison and Nick when they asked me how I felt about them bringing a vintage mint green Ford truck to their engagement session. Two words: Heck. Yes.

All communication was done through Alison, so it wasn’t until I met them in real life that Nick and I realized we graduated high school together! That quickly broke the ice and we were all chatting away like longtime friends.

I’ve been dying to share this shoot from the minute we came up with this idea. I’ve always wanted to take photos at Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and I’m so glad Alison and Nick asked for and trusted my location selection!! I always send my clients a comprehensive list of locations for their engagement, but I love when they share the vibe they are hoping for and we can find the perfect place together!

I left this session knowing that we killed it. It felt so fluid and comfortable and they’re so kind and tender with each other. It’s so clear that they’re best friends.

I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in October 2021!

This second location was a short walk from the gas station. We reached it just as the sun began to set. I have a thing for symmetry and epic wide shots, so this turnpike bridge really fulfilled all my hopes and dreams.

I was so happy with Alison’s outfit selections and loved that Nick’s complemented both so well. The burnt orange dress really made her pop against the landscape!

Working with Laurie was such a pleasure! We had so much fun on our shoot together, and she made the process so comfortable! It was both a fun and professional experience, and she always had creative poses for us to do and really made our vision come to life! There’s not one thing we would change and we definitely recommend her!
