Ah, home sweet home. Alli and Nick’s engagement session started right at their home in Bay Village. If you want to include a pet in your photos, posing on your front stoop is the perfect way to do so! You (and pup) will be right in your element, which helps settle the jitters that naturally are present at the start of a session. The exterior of their home was so cute, too! Buying a home together is a special milestone in your love story, so why not incorporate that element into your engagement photos?
It is also helpful to select locations that are close in distance, and located in right in Bay Village on the shores of Lake Erie is Huntington Reservation! It is a small west-side beach from which the entire Cleveland skyline is visible on a clear day. Besides the beach itself, there is also a rock jetty, stone staircases, and a wooded picnic area.
We got there just as golden hour was beginning and Alli and Nick were smiley the entire season. Gahhhh! That “makes you wanna run around a crowded beach like there’s no one else around but YOU” kinda love. Melts my heart! It can get very crowed here in the summer, but with some strategic angling and Photoshop skills, it will look like it’s just you and your boo!
And of course, I had to end the session with a gif. These have been so fun to make and as much as I love still images, there’s something so special about seeing people in action! Alli joked that if she could, it would be her selection for their Save the Date card because it “describes our relationship so well.” It’s 2021! Why can’t we print a gif yet? Lol!
